MBG TV Asked to Apply for Permits from BGN
The emergence of MBG TV has caused a stir among internet users. Going viral on social media, MBG TV is said to be broadcasting in 13 provinces.
From the viral post seen by detikcom on Wednesday (25/2/2025), it is stated that the Free Nutritious Food program will expand to a national television network through a channel called MBG TV.
MBG TV is said to be a means of education related to the Free Nutritious Food program, increasing public awareness of nutrition, and socialising food security policies.
In the post, the launch of MBG TV was also conveyed by the Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Major General TNI Lodewyk Pusung. MBG TV is said to be available through live streaming services and will reach 13 provinces, namely Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Lampung, South Sumatra, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and Maluku.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency for Communication and Investigation, Nanik S Deyang, admitted that she did not know about the emergence of MBG TV.
“As Deputy Head of the Communication division, I don’t know, and the BGN also doesn’t know that someone is creating MBG TV,” Nanik explained to reporters.
Nanik said that the party producing MBG TV must first ask for permission from the BGN.
“MBG TV must ask for permission from me as Deputy Head in the field of Public Communication and Investigation,” she said.
In addition, Nanik said that she had asked the Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, about MBG TV.
“I have asked the Head of the Agency, and he also has no idea about MBG TV,” she said.
