MBG Programme Involves 6,000 SPPGs, Bank Mandiri Strengthens Fund Distribution
PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk is involved in the distribution of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme targeting the public, by strengthening the transaction system and financial governance. As of the first quarter of 2026, around 6,000 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPGs) have used Bank Mandiri’s virtual account services to support the programme’s fund distribution. Bank Mandiri President Director Riduan stated that this involvement is part of the company’s role in supporting government programmes that directly impact the public. “Bank Mandiri actively serves as a strategic partner to the government in ensuring various national programmes run effectively and deliver direct benefits to the real sector and the wider public,” Riduan said during a performance briefing on Tuesday (21/4/2026). According to him, banking support is needed to ensure that programme fund distribution is more orderly, transparent, and on target. Besides the MBG programme, Bank Mandiri has also disbursed Rp11 trillion in People’s Business Credit (KUR) as of the first quarter of 2026, reaching more than 87,000 MSME actors. In the housing sector, financing has flowed to around 2,300 housing units through the Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP). At the village level, the company supports strengthening the people’s economy through involvement with around 80,000 village and sub-district cooperatives. Amid these roles, Bank Mandiri’s performance continues to grow. Net profit was recorded at Rp15.4 trillion, up 16.6% year-on-year, supported by 17.4% credit growth. With more integrated financial system support, banking is expected to accelerate the distribution of social programmes while maintaining the circulation of the people’s economy.
