MBG Partner Who Danced Boasting Rp6 Million Per Day Ends Up Halted, Turns Out to Have 7 SPPGs
Bandung, VIVA – A video of a man dancing in the kitchen of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme suddenly went viral on social media, sparking a prolonged controversy. The video drew sharp criticism not only for the man’s inappropriate actions but also for the narrative claiming that he received incentives of up to Rp6 million per day from the government programme.
It has since been revealed that the man in the video is Hendrik Irawan, an MBG partner in Batujajar, West Bandung. The case escalated after the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) conducted an inspection and discovered several technical issues at the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) kitchen where the video was recorded. As a result, operations at the kitchen have been temporarily halted.
The case has captured public attention because it involves a government programme directly related to children’s nutrition and the use of state funds, making transparency and professionalism key points of scrutiny.
The Origin of the Viral Rp6 Million Dance Video
The video circulating on social media shows Hendrik dancing in the MBG kitchen area. The video includes a narrative stating that he receives an Rp6 million daily incentive from the MBG programme. The action drew public criticism for being deemed unethical in a food production kitchen, especially without using personal protective equipment.
Deputy Head of BGN, Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, stated that her agency took swift action after the video went viral. BGN deployed a monitoring team to meet the individual and conduct an on-site inspection of the kitchen.
“We have tasked the Director of Monitoring and Supervision to meet him,” said Nanik, quoted by tvOne on Wednesday, 25 March 2026.
She also confirmed that the man has been summoned and received a stern reprimand from BGN.
“I just spoke on the phone with Brigjen Doni Dewantoro, Director of Tauwas Region II; he has already met him and given him a stern warning,” she added.
However, the issue did not end with the dance video alone. The inspection revealed technical problems at the SPPG kitchen, ranging from improper kitchen layout to faulty wastewater treatment installations.
