MBG Kitchen Entrepreneurs Association Organises APPMBGI Summit
The Indonesian Association of Free Nutritious Meal Kitchen Entrepreneurs and Managers has invited several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet to speak at the APPMBGI National Summit this weekend. According to the DPP APPMBGI Instagram account, the event aims to determine policy directions and strengthen the role of local governments in managing free nutritious meals or MBG.
“We will hold the APPMBGI National Summit 2026 in Jakarta, a strategic moment that will determine the direction, role, and position of our efforts in overseeing the national implementation of the MBG programme,” as quoted from the post dated 2 April 2026.
The poster’s image features several officials, including Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Head of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana, Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency Arif Satria, and Deputy Health Minister Benjamin Paulus Oktavianus.
Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan confirmed his attendance when contacted on Friday, 24 April 2026. The General Chairman of the National Mandate Party sent a thumbs-up emoji in response to the query.
The agenda is set for Saturday-Sunday, 25-26 April, at the APPMBGI office in East Jakarta, under the theme ‘From Nutritious Food to National Intelligence’. According to the programme schedule viewed by Tempo, Zulkifli is scheduled to attend on Sunday to provide guidance and briefing for APPMBGI Summit participants from across Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Bahlil Lahadalia is scheduled to deliver a speech on national energy policies supporting the sustainability of MBG provision in Indonesia. Amran will follow up by presenting material on optimising national food security to support the MBG programme.
BRIN Head Arif Satria stated he could not yet confirm his attendance. “I haven’t checked because I’m still out of town,” said the former IPB University rector when contacted on Friday.
APPMBGI predicts the event will be attended by 2,000 participants from various backgrounds. In addition to seminars, APPMBGI plans to hold the inauguration of the organisation’s regional leadership council and training for MBG kitchen delegates.
“Given that this event will be attended by several ministers, agency heads, and institution heads, it is recommended to wear the white uniform with the APPMBGI logo,” as stated in the instructions in the announcement circulated on social media.
