A cook at the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) in Jenu District, Tuban Regency, East Java, Albert Yongky Lomboan (54), has been reported to police over alleged threats and extortion against a woman identified as AR (39). The suspect threatened to distribute a video of their sexual encounters during their affair.

Jenu Police Chief AKP Darwanto said the victim, AR, is a resident of Jenu District, while the suspect, Albert, is from Tegal Regency.

The extortion began when the suspect and the victim were both working at the SPPG. The two became romantically involved, with the suspect serving as an MBG cook.

Their relationship progressed to sexual encounters in several locations, including a hotel. The suspect reportedly recorded these encounters using a mobile phone.

“The problem arose after their relationship ended. Allegedly unwilling to accept being dumped, AYL (the suspect) threatened to distribute the private recording unless AR (the victim) handed over a sum of money,” Darwanto said, as reported by detikJatim on Saturday (29/8/2026).

The victim initially complied with the suspect’s demand and handed over money, fearing the video of their sexual encounters would be spread.

However, the suspect continued to demand more money. This time the victim refused, saying she no longer had any funds.

The extortion was then disclosed to the victim’s husband. The suspect and the victim subsequently met.

During that meeting, the victim’s husband asked for the intimate video to be deleted. But the victim was extorted again.

“The meeting was instead exploited by the suspect to demand money. This time, AYL allegedly asked for Rp10 million as a ransom, with the promise that the recording would be deleted,” he explained.

The victim and her husband then reported the suspect to Jenu Police. Police immediately conducted an investigation and eventually arrested the suspect at a gazebo in the Pantai Cemara area, Tuban, on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.
