Mbah Tupon's Words After Regaining Two Land Certificates: Peaceful and Tranquil

Tupon Hadi Suwarno, known as Mbah Tupon, has expressed immense joy and a sense of peace after regaining two land certificates that had been held as evidence in a land mafia case. Additionally, his legal representative stated that they will soon transfer the name on one of the certificates, which is currently under Indah Fatmawati’s name.

“Peaceful, tranquil,” said Mbah Tupon to reporters after holding the land certificates again in Ngentak, Bangunjiwo, Kasihan, Bantul, on Thursday (9/4/2026).

When asked about his feelings upon retrieving the certificates, Mbah Tupon was delighted.

“Yes (happy), already pleased, now the certificates are back in my hands, thank you,” he stated.

Mbah Tupon also conveyed his thanks to all those who assisted him from the beginning until the certificates were returned. According to him, it is the Almighty God who will reward the kindness of those individuals.

“Thank you all for helping me from the start to the end. I cannot repay anything; it is the Almighty who will repay,” he said.

Meanwhile, Suki Ratnasari, Mbah Tupon’s legal counsel and a member of the Mbah Tupon Defence Team, continued by expressing, on behalf of the family, their deepest gratitude. She believes that without support from various parties, it would have been impossible for Mbah Tupon to recover his land certificates.

“We truly feel helped by many in this case, because from the outset, we thought it was impossible for them to return to Mbah Tupon given the very difficult circumstances. But it turns out that nothing is impossible,” she said.

“And the kindness from all of you will surely be rewarded by God and blessed abundantly by Him,” Suki added.

Suki hopes this case will serve as a good precedent for law enforcement concerning victims of land mafia like Mbah Tupon. This is because many community members face limitations and lack of legal knowledge, making them vulnerable to becoming victims like him.

“We hope Bantul becomes an example of truly good law enforcement, and that justice can be obtained for people like Mbah Tupon without waiting for it to go viral,” she stated.

Suki also assured that they will soon transfer the name on the certificate under Indah Fatmawati to Mbah Tupon’s name, as he is the rightful owner.

“And we hope the land ownership certificate (SHM) under Indah Fatmawati’s name can soon be transferred to Mbah Tupon’s name,” she said.
