Mayumba attack mastermind identified

PALU, Central Sulawesi: The local military has identified the
mastermind behind the bloody attack of Mayumba Village in Poso
last Thursday, saying it was chasing for the mastermind.

"We have identified the intellectual actor behind the Mayumba
attack and we gained the information from the investigation of
several people involved in the assault," Col. Suwahyuhadji, chief
of the Tadulako Military District, said after a meeting with
Central Sulawesi Governor Aminuddin Panulele here on Saturday.

At least four were killed, several others were seriously
injured, and 43 houses and a car were burned down when a group of
unidentified people launched an attack on the village on
Thursday.

Suwahyuhadji declined to identify the mastermind and said the
mastermind was a resident of the Poso town. --Antara
