Mayoralty office catches alight

Samarinda, E Kalimantan: A fire broke out in the mayoralty office here on Monday morning, damaging one third of the three- story building. No casualties were reported.

A witness said he saw flames break out in the deputy mayor's empty room.

Hundreds of employees panicked, while employees on the first floor were seen busily saving important documents and computers.

Fire fighters managed to put out the fire about an hour later.
