Mayor to meet businessmen over THR

TANGERANG (JP): The mayor of Tangerang will meet with local
factory owners to ensure all 400,000 of their employees receive
their holiday allowances (THR) at least a week prior to the Dec.
27 and Dec. 28 Idul Fitri holiday.

"The meeting will be held next week and hopefully will end
with satisfactory results," the spokesman for the mayoralty
office, Said Endrawiyanto, said on Wednesday.

Executives of the Association of Indonesian Entrepreneurs in
Tangerang and officials from the local office of the Manpower
Agency will be invited to represent the some 1,300 factories and
businesses in the area at the meeting, he said.

Said also said the meeting would touch on the possibility of
each company providing transportation for their employees wishing
to travel to their hometowns in Java and Sumatra for the holiday.
