Denpasar (ANTARA) – The Mayor of Denpasar, I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara, and the leadership of the Denpasar City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) have expressed support for one of the Denpasar City Government’s priority programmes, which focuses on developing export-standard products. Jaya Negara made these remarks while attending the inauguration and appointment of the Advisory Board, Deliberative Council, and the Board of Directors of the Denpasar City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) for the 2025-2030 term, held at the Taksu Dharma Negara Alaya Hall, Denpasar, on Tuesday. Jaya Negara stated that Denpasar is a city dominated by the trade and service sectors, making cross-stakeholder collaboration crucial in bridging the gap between businesses, ranging from MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), large-scale industries, to major entrepreneurs. This synergy is essential to encourage businesses to be more creative and innovative in the era of the Industry 4.0 revolution. “KADIN plays a strategic role as a partner to the government in enhancing the city’s competitiveness, improving the welfare of the community, and developing strategic sectors,” said Jaya Negara. He added that the trade and industry sectors each contribute significantly to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) of Denpasar City. He explained that in the current digital era, the openness of information presents a significant opportunity for the business world to continuously explore potential, including marketing Denpasar’s flagship products to the global market and attracting business tourists through economic cooperation. Therefore, the Mayor emphasised the importance of KADIN’s role in being synergistic, innovative, solid, and adaptable. According to him, strong collaboration, creative ideas, a cohesive organisation, and the ability to adapt to changing times will drive the creation of a healthy and sustainable business climate. Jaya Negara congratulated all the newly appointed leaders and reaffirmed the importance of synergy between KADIN and the Denpasar City Government. Meanwhile, the Chairman of KADIN Bali, I Made Ariandi, appreciated the synergy between KADIN Denpasar and the Denpasar City Government, which he considered to be very good. He expressed his gratitude for the city government’s support for economic growth, especially in strengthening MSMEs. “Hopefully, the synergy with the Denpasar City Government will continue in every programme to improve and grow the regional economy,” he said. The Chairman of the Denpasar City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), I Putu Arnawa, stated that he supports the Denpasar City Government’s programmes in the business sector. He said that this inauguration is an important moment in continuing the organisation’s journey. He affirmed that the mandate received is a shared responsibility to strengthen the institutional foundation and bring KADIN Denpasar to a higher level. “We accept this mandate as a responsibility to strengthen the foundation and promote the progress of KADIN Denpasar. Through the theme ‘Let’s Do It! Ignite Innovation, Synergise Action’, we invite all business people to work together, innovate, and synergise for the growth of the regional economy,” he concluded. The inauguration ceremony began with the reading of the Decree of KADIN Denpasar City for the 2025-2030 term from KADIN Bali Province. During the event, I Putu Arnawa was inaugurated as the Chairman of KADIN Denpasar City, accompanied by the board of directors, including I Putu Miasta as the Coordinator of the Vice-Chairmen, Setiya Wibawa as the Chairman of the OKK (Organising Committee) and also the Chairman of the Steering Committee, and Yusuf Ali as the Vice-Chairman for Infrastructure. On this occasion, Mayor Jaya Negara also received the Regional Culture and Economy Stabiliser Award for his consistency in maintaining the balance between development and Balinese cultural identity amidst economic dynamics.
