Mayor of Padang Fadly Amran distributed stimulus aid for housing repairs to communities affected by hydro-meteorological disasters at the Abu Bakar Ja’ar Room, Aia Pacah City Hall, Padang, on Tuesday, 28 April 2026. The aid was given to 55 family heads spread across four districts: Koto Tangah, Kuranji, Nanggalo, and Pauh.

This programme is intended to assist residents whose homes were damaged by the disaster. The distributed aid consists of Rp30 million for the moderately damaged category for 31 housing units, and Rp15 million for the lightly damaged category for 24 housing units.

The handover was conducted symbolically to representatives of the recipients present. Fadly Amran explained that this stimulus aid represents a concrete step by the government to accelerate the recovery of post-disaster community conditions, particularly in repairing affected residences.

“The Padang City Government is present to ensure that disaster-affected communities do not face this situation alone. This stimulus aid is expected to help repair residents’ homes to make them habitable again,” he said.

Fadly Amran reminded the recipients to use the aid appropriately and in accordance with its designated purpose. “We ask that this aid be truly utilised for home repairs. Use it wisely and transparently, so that its benefits can be maximised for the recipient families,” he stated.

The Head of the Padang City BPBD, Hendri Zulviton, in his report, conveyed that all aid recipients have gone through data collection, verification, and field validation stages. “A total of 55 family heads have been designated as aid recipients based on the field assessment team’s results. The amount of aid provided is adjusted to the level of home damage, both in the lightly damaged and moderately damaged categories,” he said.

Also present at the event were the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare of the Padang City Secretariat, Tarmizi Ismail, BPBD Padang officials, and sub-district heads from the affected areas.
