Mayor Agung Nugroho Makes History: Pekanbaru Civil Servants Receive Four Entitlements Simultaneously
Pekanbaru City Government has made a historic milestone. For the first time, Pekanbaru Mayor Agung Nugroho has ensured the simultaneous disbursement of four salary and allowance components to all civil servants (ASN) and contract workers (PPPK) under the Pekanbaru City Government in March.
The four entitlements disbursed simultaneously comprise:
• March salary
• Performance allowance/incentive for February
• 13th-month salary (THR)
• 13th-month performance allowance (TPP THR)
Consequently, during Ramadan, all civil servants and contract workers in the Pekanbaru City Government receive two salaries and two performance allowances at once.
Mayor Agung Nugroho stated that this policy represents the Pekanbaru City Government’s commitment to safeguarding civil servant welfare whilst boosting work morale ahead of Hari Raya (Eid).
He also expressed appreciation to the central government for its policy of prioritising civil servant welfare.
“We extend our gratitude to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Bapak Prabowo Subianto, for the government’s policy on THR and 13th-month salary payments for state apparatus. This policy greatly assists employees in welcoming Hari Raya,” said Agung Nugroho.
According to him, this policy extends beyond civil servant welfare; it is also expected to stimulate the regional economy, particularly during Ramadan.
The Pekanbaru Mayor also reminded staff to be grateful for this additional income in appropriate ways.
“I urge all civil servants to be grateful. Pay the obligatory alms (zakat fitrah), wealth alms (zakat mal), and increase charitable giving during Ramadan,” he said.
With his characteristic approachable style, Mayor Agung Nugroho also conveyed a distinctive message to employees.
“I direct all civil servants in Pekanbaru City, after receiving their entitlements this month, to take their families to eat well at the restaurants in our city,” said Agung Nugroho.
According to him, this simple step can help revitalise the local economy.
“In doing so, we help business owners, MSMEs, and restaurants in Pekanbaru to also benefit from the blessings of Ramadan,” he explained.
He hopes this policy will not only improve employee welfare but also make Ramadan a joyous occasion for civil servant families whilst stimulating Pekanbaru’s economy.
“Ramadan is a month of sharing. Make your families happy, help one another, and let us revitalise our city’s economy together,” concluded Agung Nugroho.
