Maybank Launches Amanah Pro, Sharia Savings Solution for Hajj and Umrah

PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk (Maybank Indonesia) has collaborated with Muslim Pro to introduce the ‘Amanah Pro’ application, an initiative to develop and strengthen the sharia financial industry in Indonesia. The application is intended, among other things, as a sharia savings solution for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. “Amanah Pro is the first Islamic Banking-as-a-Service (iBaaS) platform launched in Indonesia. Amanah Pro is Maybank Indonesia’s flagship initiative in its transformation, aligning with Maybank’s five-year strategy to deliver superior customer experiences and positive impacts on society,” said Maybank Indonesia President Director Steffano Ridwan at the Amanah Pro launch event in the Senayan area, Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/5/2026). Steffano explained that for Maybank Syariah, launching Amanah Pro is part of implementing the company’s mission, namely humanising financial services, in supporting the financial and spiritual journey needs of society. “As part of the Maybank Group, one of the largest regional financial groups, and Maybank Islamic being one of the leaders in the world’s largest sharia financial industry, currently ranked fifth, we are pleased to strive to build the best sharia financial services to meet the needs of the sharia financial industry ecosystem,” he stated. Steffano conveyed that through Amanah Pro, millions of Muslim Pro application users in Indonesia will be able to easily utilise available financial services without needing to visit bank branches physically. This feature is the first to be introduced to all Muslim Pro users in the country, supported by Sharia Banking expertise from Maybank Indonesia’s Sharia Business Unit (UUS). Through this service, Maybank Indonesia further strengthens its position as a sharia-based digital banking enabler, while providing relevant financial solutions for modern Muslim society, especially in preparing for Hajj and Umrah worship. Muslim Pro Group Managing Director & CEO Nafees Khundker said that Amanah Pro is presented to help Muslims stay connected with their faith in daily life, while helping the ummah become the best version of themselves, both in worldly and afterlife life. “With the momentum of Dhu al-Hijjah reminding us of many people’s intentions to one day perform Hajj.
