JAKARTA - PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk has collaborated with Muslim Pro to launch the Amanah Pro application. This service targets the needs of the community, particularly Muslims, in preparing for Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.

Maybank Indonesia President Director Steffano Ridwan stated that the launch is part of a strategy to strengthen the Sharia financial industry through collaboration.

“Amanah Pro is a flagship initiative of Maybank Indonesia’s transformation that aligns with our five-year Maybank strategy, known as ROAR30, which aims to deliver a superior customer experience and positive impact on society,” he said during the launch in Jakarta on Wednesday (6/5/2026).

Through this scheme, Sharia financial services can be accessed directly from the everyday app, including Muslim Pro.

“As part of the halal ecosystem, we will together strengthen the Sharia financial industry in Indonesia. I believe Sharia financial services can provide maximum benefits not only for Muslim customers but for all Indonesian society,” Steffano added.

Director of Maybank Indonesia’s Sharia Business Unit, Romy H. Buchari, said the initiative is expected to drive growth in third-party funds.

“We hope this growth can be double-digit, like Sharia banking in general. And this is just the beginning; hopefully, it can be even more in the future,” he stated.

Amanah Pro provides features for savings, transfers, and remittances. The service is also equipped with life insurance and more competitive foreign exchange rates for overseas transactions.

Feature development will continue to enhance user experience.

“Later, additional features will be added, and the number of customers will continue to grow,” Romy said.

Muslim Pro CEO Nafees Khundker noted that Indonesia was chosen as the first country for the launch. This market is considered strategic for the initial stage before expansion to other countries.

“It must succeed in Indonesia first, then we will develop it to other markets,” Nafees remarked.
