Bank Indonesia (BI) is providing rupiah currency exchange services for Lebaran 2026 through its Semarak Rupiah Ramadan dan Berkah Idulfitri (SERAMBI) 2026 programme. Before exchanging money, members of the public must first place an order through the PINTAR application.

According to BI’s official website, each currency exchange package under the SERAMBI 2026 service allows a maximum of Rp 5,300,000 per person.
The exchange amounts and denomination packages apply to SERAMBI 2026 exchange services provided by both Bank Indonesia and commercial banks. Members of the public can check exchange schedules and place orders for rupiah currency exchange packages at BI’s mobile cash offices during SERAMBI 2026 through the PINTAR website (https://pintar.bi.go.id).
Rules for New Banknote Exchange During Lebaran 2026
Under SERAMBI 2026, walk-in exchanges (arriving at exchange points without prior booking through the PINTAR application) are not permitted, in order to provide certainty, security, comfort and convenience for the public when exchanging rupiah, namely:
- Guaranteed service, as bookings have been made and the desired banknote denominations secured.
- The authenticity and amount of rupiah exchanged are guaranteed for accuracy and security.
- Comfortable experience by choosing the preferred time and nearest exchange location.
- Easy online booking, with no need to queue in person to obtain an exchange quota.
How to Exchange Currency Through SERAMBI 2026
The following are the steps for exchanging rupiah through the SERAMBI 2026 service via the PINTAR application:
- Place an order for the SERAMBI 2026 exchange service in advance through the PINTAR application (https://pintar.bi.go.id);
- Attend the exchange location according to the location and schedule stated on the booking confirmation; and
- Carry out the exchange by bringing the booking confirmation, the rupiah to be exchanged, and personal identification (national identity card/KTP).
