Maxim Responds to Ride-Hailing Tariffs After App Commission Cut
Maxim Indonesia will implement an 8 percent application commission for its ride-hailing services starting 1 July 2026. Director of Maxim Indonesia, Dirhamsyah, stated that the move is in compliance with a new presidential regulation. He noted that the company’s commission previously ranged from 8 to 15 percent, with an average of around 12 percent. Dirhamsyah expressed hope that the fixed 8 percent commission would make the service more attractive to driver partners by offering them a larger share of income, while still providing affordable fares for customers. Maxim also reaffirmed its commitment to driver and customer protection through the Yayasan Pengemudi Selamat Sejahtera Indonesia (YPSSI) programme, which provides compensation for accidents or other misfortunes occurring during Maxim services.
