Maxim Indonesia has stated its commitment to implement an 8 percent application commission starting 1 July 2026. The policy is a form of adjustment to Presidential Regulation Number 27 of 2026. “The implementation of the 8 percent application commission is a form of adjustment to government regulations. We respect the policy and are committed to maintaining a balance between the company’s operational sustainability, the welfare of driver partners, and the affordability of services for the public,” said Maxim Indonesia Director Development Dirhamsyah in a statement received on Monday (29/6). With the new policy, Maxim is also committed to maintaining affordable trip fares for users. The company will also continue to provide opportunities for driver partners to earn a larger share of income from each completed trip. “Our goal is to maintain a balance of interests for all parties, and we believe this policy will further strengthen public trust in Maxim’s services and platform as a whole,” he added. Dirhamsyah stated that for years, Maxim has applied low application commissions in the industry, ranging from 8 percent to 15 percent, depending on the operational region and vehicle type. According to him, the current average commission is around 12 percent. The company also stated that it continues to prioritise the principles of transparency and social responsibility by maintaining a balance of interests between driver partners and customers. The implementation of this 8 percent application commission, he said, applies specifically to two-wheeled passenger transport services. “Along with the implementation of the 8 percent application commission, Maxim maintains its commitment to providing comprehensive protection for driver partners and users through the YPSSI (Yayasan Pengemudi Selamat Sejahtera Indonesia) programme,” he said. YPSSI is a protection programme to provide compensation for partners or users who experience accidents or other misfortunes while using Maxim’s services.
