Maxim Distributes Holiday Bonuses to 50,000 Driver Partners Across 100 Cities
JAKARTA — Online transportation platform Maxim has distributed Hari Raya bonuses to over 50,000 driver partners across more than 100 cities in Indonesia.
Dirhamsyah, Development Director of Maxim Indonesia, stated that the distribution of the Hari Raya bonus represents the company’s appreciation for the driver partners’ contribution in supporting app-based transportation services.
“The distribution is our appreciation to driver partners who have been an important part of Maxim’s journey and development in Indonesia,” said Dirhamsyah at the company’s headquarters on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
“We hope this support can help improve the welfare of driver partners whilst strengthening the good relationships that have been established so far,” he added.
The company’s expansion is reflected in the opening of new branches on a large scale. Currently, Maxim’s network has reached over 350 branches throughout Indonesia.
Indah Anggoro Putri, Director-General of Industrial Relations Development and Worker Social Security at the Ministry of Manpower, viewed the Hari Raya bonus distribution as a reflection of the private sector’s attention to online transportation driver partners.
“We see this step as a good demonstration of attention. We hope that initiatives like this can continue to develop and provide wider benefits to workers in the digital economy sector,” said Indah.
Chairul Saleh, Deputy Assistant for Productivity Improvement and Labour Ecosystem Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, assessed the programme as capable of strengthening the labour ecosystem.
“This programme is expected to contribute to improving driver partner welfare whilst strengthening partnership relationships,” said Chairul Saleh.
The distribution was conducted with individual assessments that took into account the performance and activity level of each driver. This scheme was designed to ensure the distribution was objective and well-targeted.
In addition to the Hari Raya bonus, Maxim also operates various support programmes for driver partners during Ramadan.
The company provides zero-per-cent commission rates for driver partners with disabilities as support for more inclusive employment opportunities.
Maxim also distributed food assistance and Hari Raya gift packages to driver partners in more than 55 cities during Ramadan.
Muiz Thohir, Director of Road Transport at the Ministry of Transportation, hoped that the Hari Raya bonus distribution and various incentives could improve the welfare of online transportation driver partners.
“We hope this support can encourage improved welfare for driver partners and maintain the sustainability of the online transportation sector,” stated Muiz.
