Students will receive registration accounts from 18 May 2026 to 22 May 2026. Maung School’s SPMB registration will then be conducted on 25, 26, 28 and 29 May 2026.

Purwanto, head of the West Java Department of Education, said there are three Maung School registration routes: academic potential with a 10 percent quota, academic competence with a 70 percent quota, and non-academic competence with 20 percent.

‘There will be no zonation pathway at Maung School,’ Purwanto said in a written statement, Wednesday (20 May 2026).

This was said during the Kick Off SPMB Maung School, SMA, SMK, SLB West Java 2026 at Arcamanik Stadium on Monday (18 May).

Registration for Maung School SPMB is conducted online via the Maung School application https://maung.spmb.jabarprov.go.id using accounts provided to prospective students.

There are 28 state senior high schools (SMA) and 13 state vocational high schools (SMK) that can be chosen during Maung School registration.

Requirements

Prospective students applying to Maung School must meet several requirements, such as being a prospective student who graduates from SMP/MTs/Equivalent in the current year or previous year and aged at most 21 years on 1 July 2026.

In addition, applicants must have taken the Academic Ability Test conducted by the Ministry of Education and Culture (for the academic competence track). The TKA requirement is waived for SMK.

Applicants must also demonstrate outstanding potential or achievements in academic/non-academic interests and talents evidenced by the results of the Academic Potential Test, report cards or learning documents, certificates/certificates of awards/non-awards in the academic/non-academic fields, portfolios of work or activity results in line with interests and talents, and other supporting documents.

In addition, the special requirements include having resided in a West Java city/district for at least one year, evidenced by the Family Card (KK) and Identity Card (KTP). Another special requirement is to attach a letter of recommendation from the previous school stating that the prospective student is accomplished and interested in continuing higher education.

The announcement of accepted students at Maung School will take place on 8 June 2026. Then, admitted students must re-enrol on 9-10 May 2026. Maung School’s intake capacity is 21,000 students.

Prospective students who do not pass the selection at Maung School may re-apply and participate in SPMB stage 1 or stage 2 selection at other schools not including Maung School.
