The Mataram City Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) recorded 12 new parking points officially registered between January and May 2026. The majority of these points come from trendy cafés that have begun to proliferate across parts of Mataram City.

‘From January to May there have been 12 parking points registered. There are Valette Kosmetik in Rembiga, Alicia Kosmetik, Rumah Makan Puyung, Titik Koma, Ahpek, Bonolo Kafe, Kopi Kenangan on Jalan Pendidikan, and many more,’ said Zulkarwin, head of the Mataram City Dishub, when contacted on Wednesday (20 May 2026).

Zulkarwin said that among the 12 new parking points registered, trendy cafés dominate this year. The other parking points are still under Dishub monitoring.

‘For the others we are monitoring. We always keep an eye on any new ones,’ he said.

He noted that the addition of new parking points could raise annual parking retribution revenue. However, Dishub chose not to rush setting targets before assessing footfall and the sustainability of the businesses.

‘We usually supervise first, because usually new cafés are busy in the early stages. We don’t want it to dip mid-way. That’s why we analyse first,’ he said.

He also asked business owners to nominate parking attendants to work at each location. All new parking points are now in the administrative and data-entry stage.

‘TRegistration of new points is to ensure there are no unregistered parking points. And because of the system, the potential will be recorded in the system automatically,’ he explained.

For information, parking retribution realised up to April 2026 was still relatively low, at only Rp 3 billion from a target of Rp 18.5 billion for this year. To boost parking revenue, Dishub Mataram has tasked coordinators (korlap) to approach parking attendants who have been reluctant to pay retribution. Many jukir refuse to hand over retribution but instead use it for personal needs.

Previously, Mataram City’s PAD as of March 2026 stood at Rp 130 billion or about 19.91% of the Rp 656 billion target. ‘From the Rp 656 billion target, only Rp 130 billion has been realised, or 19.91% as of March 2026,’ said Muhamad Ramayoga, head of the Regional Financial Agency (BKD) of Mataram City, earlier.

Ramayoga detailed that local tax realisation was Rp 72 billion from a target of Rp 311 billion (23.2%). Then, realisation of new retribution reached Rp 56 billion from a target of Rp 326 billion (17.3%).

‘(The percentage in this first quarter) has already met the target. The target is around 20%, this is 19.91%,’ he explained.
