Official parking in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has now reached 789 locations. The number of official parking spots has increased following the Mataram City Government’s addition of 19 new sites.

“Our total parking points now stand at 789. As of September, we have recorded 19 new parking locations,” said the Head of the Mataram Transportation Agency, Zulkarwin, when confirmed on Monday (5/10/2026).

Zulkarwin revealed that the new parking spots are spread across various business sectors, including street food stalls (angkringan), cafes, and shops. According to him, the presence of these 19 new parking points indicates that economic activity in Mataram continues to grow.

The addition of new parking spots is expected to increase the potential for the Mataram City Government’s Local Original Revenue (PAD). This is particularly important as the realisation of parking retribution has not yet reached 50% of the annual target.

It is noted that parking retribution revenue in Mataram up to August 2026 has only reached Rp 6.4 billion, or approximately 35% of the Rp 18.5 billion target. Of this amount, Rp 6.1 billion was generated through non-cash payment systems, while cash parking revenue reached only Rp 63.33 million.

Previously reported, Mataram’s PAD in the first quarter of 2026 had reached Rp 130 billion, equivalent to 19.91% of this year’s target of Rp 656 billion. The Mataram City Government remains optimistic that the PAD target can be achieved by the end of 2026.

“From the target of Rp 656 billion, only more than Rp 130 billion has been realised, or equivalent to 19.91% as of March 2026,” said the Head of the Mataram Regional Financial Agency (BKD), Muhamad Ramayoga.

Yoga noted that the realisation of Mataram’s PAD consists of regional taxes amounting to Rp 72 billion from a target of Rp 311 billion, or 23.2%. Meanwhile, retribution realisation has reached only Rp 56 billion from a target of Rp 326 billion, or 17.3%.
