Mataram City Government has deployed six task forces to inspect sacrificial animals ahead of Eid al-Adha 1447 H/2026. The teams are spread across each district in Mataram to check the suitability of animals for sacrifice.

Lalu Johari, Head of Mataram City Agriculture Office, confirmed on Monday (25 May 2026) that six teams have been deployed to inspect the slaughter process at the animal slaughterhouses (RPH) tomorrow. ‘Each RPH has its own team,’ he said.

Johari explained that animal slaughter activities are expected to increase compared to regular days. Slaughter service fees at RPHs vary from Rp500,000 to Rp800,000 per animal depending on service agreements.

‘For tomorrow’s Eid al-Adha, from slaughter to packaging, the service fee will be based on agreed terms if done at RPH,’ he added.

Meanwhile, for this year’s Eid al-Adha, Mataram City Government aims to collect 50 goats and 16 cattle.

Amir Wisuda, Head of the City Government’s Public Welfare Division (Kesra), stated on Monday: ‘Our current target for sacrificial animals in Mataram is 50 goats and 16 cattle.’

According to Amir, the number could increase as more animals are collected from all city government departments until Eid al-Adha. ‘It is very likely to increase as it comes from participation by all city government departments,’ he said.

Amir also mentioned that the distribution of President Prabowo Subianto’s sacrificial animals is planned at Masjid Nurul Falah in Bebidas, Pagesangan Village, Mataram.

‘Tomorrow, the animals will be handed over from the farmers to the management of Masjid Nurul Falah in Bebidas, Pagesangan Village,’ he explained.
