Matahari store in Jatinegara

JAKARTA (JP): City administration has finally given permission
to the Matahari department store to operate in the Jatinegara
Plaza building in East Jakarta, after Matahari fulfilled all
requirements regarding the necessary permits.

The approval, for the operation of the store, was disclosed in
a meeting between members of City Council and representatives of
PT Matahari Group, which owns the store, Antara reported.

The City Council's members were led by Nitrah Arsyad and
Matahari representatives by the group property director, Sumedi.

Nitrah said that all requirements for the operation, including
building permits as well as security and order permits, from city
administration have been met.

The approval for the building permits was issued by the
municipality on Feb. 2, 1995, while its security and order
permits on March 13, 1995.

The owners of the store decided to stop operations for several
days, waiting for completion of the required permits' processing.
