MasterCard for golfers

JAKARTA (JP): MasterCard International announced yesterday the
launching of the MasterCard Golf Card, the world's first golf-
oriented credit card.

The Mastercard Golf Program was initiated by Bank Lippo,
followed by United Overseas Bank of Singapore, Siam Commercial
Bank of Thailand and Malayan Bank Berhard of Malaysia.

The Golf Card offers cardholders access to 19 overseas and
local golf and country clubs, Jean Tan, Director of Member
Relations and Marketing of South-East Asia, said.

She added that cardholders also enjoy up to 50 percent
discounts on golfing equipment at popular shopping destinations
in the Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.(sim)
