The Master of Management programme at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Indonesia (MM FEB UI) has officially regained international accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) for the next five-year period. The decision was communicated through an official letter dated 13 February 2026 addressed to FEB UI Dean, Yulianti Abbas, PhD, on Friday (13 February 2026).

In the letter, Katherine O’Flynn, Director of Accreditation at AMBA, announced that the International Accreditation Advisory Board had approved the assessment panel’s report following an assessment visit conducted in November 2025. Based on those findings, AMBA has reawarded accreditation to MM FEB UI as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme for a five-year period, continuing the achievement first obtained in 2018.

Professor Rofikoh Rokhim, PhD, Programme Head at MM FEB UI, stated that the awarding of five-year accreditation represents an important achievement, noting that in practice many institutions obtain shorter accreditation periods, such as three years, as part of continuous improvement cycles. The five-year period reflects a higher level of trust from international assessors regarding the quality of programme governance, curriculum strength, and the sustainability of MM FEB UI’s academic development strategy.

As an internationally recognised accreditation body based in England, AMBA is recognised as one of the top-tier accreditations for business schools globally, with a specific focus on MBA, DBA, and Master’s in Management programmes. Globally, only approximately 300 business schools have successfully obtained AMBA accreditation, or roughly 2–3 per cent of all business schools worldwide, making it a highly selective and prestigious recognition.

Professor Rofikoh stated that AMBA reaccreditation confirms international recognition of academic quality, teaching standards, and the relevance of MM FEB UI’s curriculum in addressing global challenges. “This achievement is the result of a continuous transformation process in improving learning quality, curriculum innovation, and developing an inclusive and relevant academic ecosystem,” he said in a press statement received by Republika on Monday (2 March 2026).

As a body with stringent assessment standards, AMBA evaluates teaching quality, curriculum design, student experience, and the leadership impact of graduates. These standards ensure that only high-calibre MBA programmes can obtain and maintain accreditation.

Through this achievement, FEB UI further solidifies its position at the international level. Together with other global accreditations it holds, FEB UI has become the only business school in Indonesia to achieve “double crown” status, a prestigious recognition for institutions that obtain two of the three major international accreditations: AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS.

“Globally, only a small fraction of business schools are able to achieve this elite combination of accreditations, making it a symbol of world-class management education quality. This achievement also represents a strategic step towards the triple crown target, which is currently achieved by only approximately one per cent of business schools worldwide,” said Professor Rofikoh.
