Jakarta - PT Pertamina (Persero), as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), is accelerating its business transformation and simplifying its corporate structure. This is being carried out through a streamlining programme targeting a total of 124 business entities. In the first phase, 27 entities have been restructured as part of a business portfolio reorganisation to make the Pertamina Group structure leaner, more efficient, and focused on strengthening the core business of national energy. Head of BP BUMN and concurrently COO of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, held a meeting with the Pertamina Board of Directors to discuss the progress of the Pertamina Group streamlining programme, including quarterly completion targets and various issues requiring regulatory support and cross-stakeholder coordination. “This meeting is part of the effort to ensure Pertamina’s transformation proceeds in a measured, timely manner, and is aligned with the strengthening of national energy security,” Dony stated. In the discussion, Pertamina outlined a number of targets for the continuation of the streamlining, encompassing liquidation processes, divestments, as well as mergers or spin-offs. Pertamina is also coordinating with relevant stakeholders, including SKK Migas, the Directorate General of Oil and Gas, BPKP, the Attorney General’s Office for Civil and State Administration, and other parties to accelerate the business entity streamlining process. “BP BUMN together with Danantara continues to push for the acceleration of BUMN streamlining so that the reorganisation of business entities can have a real impact on efficiency, governance, and corporate competitiveness. Pertamina is expected to be increasingly focused in carrying out its role as a strategic energy BUMN that supports energy security, economic growth, and the sustainability of national development.”
