AI developer Anthropic is preparing a fund of US$100 million, approximately Rp 1.5 trillion, to train tens of thousands of experts capable of managing and developing artificial intelligence systems in real-world work environments. This move is being taken due to a sharp surge in demand for skilled labour worldwide, according to a report from CNBC International.

The programme, named the Claude Frontier Academy, aims to train 10,000 engineers by the end of 2027. Participants will come from Anthropic’s partner companies, including Accenture, Morgan Stanley, and Novo Nordisk. They will learn how to implement advanced AI safely and effectively within their respective business operations.

This training goes beyond merely learning how to use AI tools. The curriculum is designed so that participants are able to build and manage AI systems tailored to specific corporate needs, while simultaneously understanding the risks and limitations that must be maintained.

The method follows a medical education model, where participants train directly on real-world cases, are guided by instructors, and are assessed before receiving official certification.

Shambhavi Shambhavi, head of partnership strategy at Anthropic, stated that many companies already want to use AI but do not yet have the right personnel to do so.

“We hear directly from partners that they need people who understand the business world while also mastering the highest level of artificial intelligence technology to solve real problems,” she said.

This step is being taken as Anthropic prepares for an expected massive initial public offering (IPO). The company recorded revenue of almost US$4.6 billion last year, but also recorded operating losses of more than US$8 billion.
