Massive Personnel Reshuffle in Mataram as Mohan Moves to Appoint Hundreds of Officials
The Mataram Mayor, Mohan Roliskana, has confirmed that he will inaugurate hundreds of officials within the Mataram City Government. It is not impossible that the mass inauguration will be carried out again during Ramadan. ‘That (the mutasi) will be expedited soon. I have just conveyed the issue of vacancies, screening first by the Baperjakat team, BKPSDM. I want all of that accelerated, including the vacancies,’ Mohan said in an interview after the inauguration of nine Echelon II officials of the Mataram City Government, on Thursday (5 March 2026). ‘There are two vacant camat positions, and the Inspector too. We are still awaiting the issuance of the appointment for the Inspector; the approval has moved up, we are just waiting,’ he added. Mohan aims to conduct the appointments promptly so the vacant positions are filled quickly. ‘Yes, hopefully (this Ramadan). If it can be completed during the fasting month, we will finish it during Ramadan. As soon as possible, so that everything is cleared. Hopefully it can happen; if tomorrow it cannot be fulfilled, it is simply because the screening process has not yet been completed,’ he said. Separately, Mohan said the inauguration of dozens of school principals that have been vacant for some time is only awaiting a schedule. ‘The school principals have been identified, just set the schedule. The school principals and supervisors,’ he asserted. Meanwhile, the head of the Mataram City Agency for Personnel and Human Resources Development (BKPSDM), Taufik Priyono, said the mass inauguration would cover dozens of school principals, camats, Echelon III, and school inspectors. ‘In addition to the Inspectorate (which is vacant), there are school principals, Echelon III positions left by those currently being inaugurated (up to the inspectors),’ he said on Thursday. ‘Not up to 100 people, but if it is only to fill vacancies it won’t reach 100. But if there are rotations, i.e., Person A here, Person B there, that’s rotation. If rotation occurs, it could reach 100 people,’ he added. In line with Mohan, Yoyok, his familiar nickname, said the appointment of hundreds of officials could again take place during Ramadan. ‘Possible (this Ramadan),’ he asserted. As previously reported, on Thursday morning, Mohan formally inaugurated nine Echelon II officials within the Mataram City Government. (hsa/hsa)
