Massive Disaster Hits North Sulawesi: Homes Destroyed, Residents Fleeing
As of Monday (8/6) at 12:30 WIB, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in the affected areas reported that 27 heads of families have been impacted, consisting of 20 families in the Sangihe Islands Regency and 7 families in the Talaud Islands Regency. Additionally, damage has been recorded to 27 residential units across these two regions, as well as two churches, one school, one teacher’s official residence, and one GMIM 76 building in the North Minahasa Regency. All data remains provisional and will continue to be updated as the field assessment process progresses.
