Masses Commit to Overseeing Realisation of Free Nutritious Meal Programme Beneficiary Target

The target regarding the number of beneficiaries must be realised; we support it, said Raden Djoni Sudjatmoko, one of the initiators of the Grand Rally and Mass Aerobics of MBG Malang Raya Supporters, during the event at Alun-Alun Tugu, Malang, East Java, on Saturday.

According to official information from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) website, the MBG programme is targeted to reach 82.9 million beneficiaries by 2026.

Djoni noted that many students in various schools are pleased with the introduction of the MBG programme. He also assessed that the government has demonstrated consistent steps in addressing various emerging issues, such as operational management problems within the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG).

Furthermore, when corruption issues involving high-ranking officials of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) surfaced, the central government under President Prabowo Subianto took immediate and decisive action.

“It could be said there are zero errors within the existing operational framework, except for areas far from supervision in remote regions, where better monitoring systems must be established,” he said.

He expressed that if errors occur during the programme’s implementation, the best approach is not to dissolve the initiative but to undergo a process of improvement. According to him, it is through such evaluations that the MBG programme will continue to progress in the future.

“Fundamentally, we agree with the decisions made by the BGN. If there is an invitation to re-discuss matters, we will accept whatever the outcome may be,” he added.

The Grand Rally and Mass Aerobics, attended by thousands of participants, took place from 07:00 to 10:50 WIB. The crowd repeatedly expressed gratitude to President Prabowo Subianto for his commitment to child nutrition through the establishment of the MBG programme.

Many participants were seen carrying dark blue banners featuring the image of Prabowo Subianto. At one point in the protest, a white cloth was displayed with the text: “Petition of Support #82 Million Beneficiaries, Prabowo is Good.”
