We are residents of Lenteng Agung sub-district, South Jakarta,
and we would like to question the establishment of massage
parlors which actually function as brothels.

These establishments are very close to the Institute of Social
and Political Science and we believe they harm the morals of the
students and surrounding communities. Yet the chief of the sub-
district has taken no action. What is really behind this
inaction?

We have complained about this and taken the matter to the
local village chief but nothing has changed. One parlor has even
expanded its business.

Earlier I did not believe the massage parlor was a brothel,
but once when I felt deadly tired I had a massage there. At the
beginning the masseur was refined and polite, but I later tested
her by making insinuations and then she hurriedly offered a price
for illegal play.
