Massacre: Israel Kills Eight Gazans at Police Post
At least eight Palestinians—including the head of the Jabaliya refugee camp police station—were killed on Tuesday after an Israeli airstrike hit a police post in northern Gaza. The strike targeted the post in the Al-Falouja area, west of the Jabaliya camp, where civilians and police personnel were present.
The Gaza Interior Ministry identified one of the martyrs as Colonel Mohammed Marwan Salem, head of the Jabaliya police station; he was killed alongside a number of officers and police personnel while on duty. Medical sources stated that the death toll from the attack reached eight people, including a woman, while several others were injured.
Among the wounded were civilians visiting the police station and a woman passing near the site when the strike occurred. Witnesses told Anadolu that an Israeli drone struck the police post in an area crowded with tents sheltering displaced Palestinians and temporary evacuation centres.
The attack took place as Israeli forces continue to launch military operations across the Gaza Strip, despite a ceasefire that has been in effect since 10 October 2025. Earlier on Tuesday, a Palestinian was killed and three others wounded when an Israeli drone struck a tent sheltering displaced families near the Tayba Tower area, west of Khan Yunis.
In a separate incident, a child named Moataz Abu Shaar was killed by Israeli army gunfire in the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip. Hospital sources stated that ten Palestinians had arrived at Gaza hospitals by Tuesday afternoon; seven were killed in northern Gaza and three in the southern region, with one of the latter subsequently succumbing to earlier wounds.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Gaza Health Ministry reported that two Palestinians were killed and 21 others injured in the preceding 24 hours. The ministry stated that rescue teams remain unable to evacuate many victims trapped under rubble or in inaccessible locations due to the ongoing Israeli attacks.
According to the ministry, 1,110 Palestinians have been killed and 3,599 injured since the ceasefire came into effect on 11 October 2025, while approximately 800 additional bodies have been recovered during the same period. Since October 2023, the total death toll from Israeli military operations has reached 73,233 Palestinians, with 173,707 others wounded.
