Masked burglars stab Bekasi man

BEKASI (JP): Five masked burglars stabbed a Cikarang, Bekasi, resident and made off with cash and jewelry.

Kosim, 43, was wounded when he tried to fight the men who broke into his house in Karang Beringin subdistrict at midnight on Saturday.

The five intruders overcame the farmer and stabbed him in the head before stealing money and jewelry from a cupboard. The total loss has yet to be calculated.

Kosim's wife said the burglars also injured two neighbors who tried to intercept them. Abdul Hamid and Kadam were stabbed in the head and back.

Police officers said the robbers broke in the bathroom window. They have yet to identify the intruders. (12/29)
