Masjid Jami Ar Ridwan in Jatinegara Receives Sacrificial Cow Donation from President Prabowo Subianto
Jatinegara’s Masjid Jami Ar Ridwan has received a sacrificial cow donated by President Prabowo Subianto for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah.
Taufik Yulianto, Head of the East Jakarta Food Security, Marine and Agriculture Sub-Division (KPKP), confirmed: “The President’s sacrificial cow donation in East Jakarta is at Masjid Jami Ar Ridwan, Jalan Prumpung Timur Barat RT 04/RW 05, Rawa Bunga Village, Jatinegara Subdistrict.”
The cow is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday (27 May) and will be slaughtered on Thursday (28 May) during the Eid al-Adha slaughter.
According to him, the President’s donated cow will undergo health checks by East Jakarta KPKP officers upon arrival.
“Yes, we will check the health of the sacrificial cow to ensure it meets requirements,” Taufik said.
Health inspections are conducted to ensure the cow is healthy and suitable for slaughter in accordance with animal health regulations and Islamic law.
Officers will examine the animal’s physical condition, including body temperature, eyes, mouth, skin, and check for signs of contagious diseases.
In addition to pre-slaughter (antemortem) checks, post-slaughter (postmortem) inspections will be carried out to ensure the meat is safe for distribution to the public.
The presence of the President’s donated cow at Masjid Jami Ar Ridwan has drawn local attention as part of the President’s community assistance for Eid al-Adha.
The mosque and the sacrifice committee have prepared procedures for receiving and slaughtering the cow to ensure orderly, safe, and smooth operations.
East Jakarta City Government has deployed 177 animal health inspection officers, including veterinarians, animal inspectors, and other health personnel from IPB, across 10 subdistricts to conduct checks at over 250 slaughter sites.
The inspections aim to ensure all sacrificial animals meet health standards and are safe for public consumption.
