KUALA LUMPUR (AP): Malaysia Airline Systems (MAS) will add six
flights between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, already one of Asia's
busiest shuttle routes, to cater to the increased demand from
March 18 through March 19 during the Malaysian Grand Prix.
The Formula One race will be held March 18 at the Sepang
circuit near the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Organizers
are hoping to attract up to 100,000 spectators.
The national carrier announced the extra flights in a
statement on Wednesday, carried by national news agency Bernama,
and said that they will be flown by Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
