Jakarta, Kompas.com - The couple victims of alleged fraud by Marwah WeddingOrganiser (WO), Aldi (32) and Feny (32), have expressed trauma and disappointment following their chaotic wedding reception in Bekasi.

They have struggled to forget the incident, which was meant to be a joyous occasion in their lives.

The wedding costs came from years of saved-up earnings, according to Aldi, who said the funds had been set aside long before the planned ceremony.

“The money was already saved; we just needed to solidify plans for the wedding this year. But the event did not meet our expectations,” Aldi said.

Despite their disappointment, Aldi hopes the case will soon be resolved. He has urged authorities to arrest Marwah, the WO owner, and hold them accountable for the losses suffered by victims.

Previously, Aldi and Feny reported Marwah, a WeddingOrganiser based in Cakung, East Jakarta, to the East Jakarta Metro Police on Sunday evening (24/5/2026) over suspected fraud.

The report was made after their wedding reception at the Islamic Centre in South Bekasi on Saturday (23/5/2026) was marred by chaos.

Aldi stated that Marwah allegedly failed to fulfill its obligations in providing the wedding package despite full payment.

“All evidence is digital: chat logs, all transactions, signed statements, and photographs from the owner,” Aldi said at the East Jakarta MetroPolice headquarters on Sunday evening.
