Marwah Wedding Organiser Office Vacated After Fraud Allegations: Sign Removed
The Marwah Wedding Organiser (WO) office in the Rukan Avenue complex, Jakarta Garden City (JGC), East Cakung District, East Jakarta, has ceased operations following reports of suspected fraud. As observed on-site on Monday (25 May 2026), the office sign had been removed from the building. Marwah WO’s office is located in the inner row of the shophouse complex, specifically at the western end. The building has four floors when viewed from the front. A motorcycle was parked in front of the building, and the entrance was left ajar at approximately 30 centimetres. The surrounding area appeared deserted, with only a few motorcycles and cars exiting the shophouse complex’s parking area. When approached, the workers stated they had been tasked with cleaning up the remnants of PVC flooring at the WO Marwah office. “We only started work today, beginning at 8am WIB. The shophouse management requested us to clean the site,” said Ubay, 52, one of the workers. Ubay was meticulously scraping off the residual adhesive that had previously held the PVC flooring in place. He cautioned visitors to be careful when entering the room as the adhesive residue remained sticky. Gold lettering had been removed and stacked in the corner of the first-floor room. “I removed them this morning,” Ubay said. The first floor also contained several items, including black mannequins, dowry boxes, sofas, benches, and three large white and grey wardrobes affixed to the walls.
