Ma'ruf Amin to Serve as Imam for Eid al-Fitr Prayer at Jakarta City Hall Tomorrow
Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, the 13th, Ma’ruf Amin, is scheduled to serve as the khatib during the Eid al-Fitr prayer at Masjid Fatahillah, Jakarta City Hall. This event forms part of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s agenda for this year’s Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno stated that the Eid al-Fitr prayer at City Hall will be attended by several officials and community figures. He mentioned that Ma’ruf Amin’s presence as khatib will be a special moment for the congregation praying at the location.
“The khatib will be Vice President Ma’ruf Amin,” said Rano in a statement on Friday (20/3/2026).
Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung is scheduled to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer at Masjid Istiqlal in Central Jakarta.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also plans to hold an open house or halalbihalal at City Hall at 11:00 AM after the prayer.
“Tomorrow, if there is an open house, it’s planned for 11 AM. So if ladies and gentlemen want to stop by City Hall, we’ll open the doors at 11 AM,” he said.
