Ma’ruf Amin Serves as Imam for Eid Prayer at Jakarta City Hall

Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, the 13th, Kyai Haji Ma’ruf Amin, served as the preacher or khatib during the Eid al-Fitr prayer in the courtyard of Jakarta City Hall. At the location, the Eid prayer commenced at 06:30 WIB, after which Kyai Ma’ruf began his sermon around 06:50 WIB. The prominent Nahdlatul Ulama figure wore all-white attire and delivered the sermon until 07:11 WIB. Meanwhile, around 2,000 congregants filled the courtyard of DKI Jakarta City Hall to perform the Eid prayer. Several key officials from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, from Governor Pramono Anung, Deputy Governor Rano Karno, Regional Secretary Uus Kuswanto, to several former officials, also attended the moment of gratitude for the completion of Ramadan worship. After delivering his sermon, Ma’ruf Amin, along with the provincial officials, greeted the congregants.
