A married man, identified only by his initials S, from Adonara Tengah sub-district, East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), is suspected of raping a junior high school student, identified only by her initials M. S is alleged to have raped the victim seven times in different locations.
Chief of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) of the East Flores Police, Iptu Fardan Adi, said the perpetrator began approaching the victim in April 2026. Shortly after, the victim allegedly began experiencing repeated sexual abuse.
“S invited the victim to start dating in April 2026. This continued until S raped M for the first time in a field in Waiwerang Kota village,” Fardan told detikBali on Friday (15/5/2026).
According to Fardan, the second rape occurred two days after the first incident, specifically on the side of the road in Riang Bunga village, Adonara Timur sub-district. Two days later, the perpetrator allegedly raped the victim for the third time next to the village hall in Kenotan village, Adonara Tengah sub-district.
“The fourth incident occurred two days after the third incident on Watotena Beach in Nelerereng village. The fifth incident also occurred two days after the fourth incident on the beach in Riang Bunga village,” Fardan said.
Fardan continued, the alleged sixth rape occurred on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the coastal area of Riang Bunga village. Meanwhile, the seventh incident allegedly occurred on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in the same location.
The case was only discovered by the victim’s family after a relative of the victim, also identified by the initials M, who lived in the same boarding house, suspected that the victim often went out at night. When questioned by her family, the victim admitted that she had been repeatedly raped by the perpetrator. The family then reported the incident to the Women and Children Protection Center (PPA) of the East Flores Police.
