JAKARTA – A married couple suspected of taking a number of meals from Bibi Kelinci restaurant in Kemang, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, have been named as suspects. The case is being handled by the Mampang Prapatan Sector Police. ‘Correct, the two have been named as suspects,’ Mampang Prapatan Police Chief AKP Dian Purnomo told Kompas.com on Friday, 6 March 2026. The two suspects, identified by the initials ZK and ESR, have been summoned for questioning on 9 March 2026, but both requested a postponement of the examination. Meanwhile, the reporting party, the restaurant owner identified by the initials NAA, has also reported to the Indonesian Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) following a CCTV recording posted on his Instagram account. The incident began when ER and ZK visited the restaurant on Friday 19 September 2025. They expressed dissatisfaction because the order arrived later than expected. The restaurant owner, Nabilah O’brien, explained that there was a surge in orders at that time, causing serving times to be longer than usual. ‘This woman entered the kitchen, which is forbidden, insulted my head chef and threatened to ransack my restaurant,’ said Nabilah in a post on her Instagram account, @nabobrien. After the incident, the two alleged perpetrators reportedly assaulted the head chef and a pregnant employee. Based on the printed transaction receipts, the restaurant’s losses are estimated at Rp530,150.
