BEKASI – The commemoration of the Maulid of Prophet Muhammad SAW became a space for residents to take part in intergenerational religious activities. This was evident at the Maulid commemoration for 1448 Hijriah, organised by DKM Baiturrahman Jatiasih Greenwood Residence (JGR) at the JGR field on Saturday (5/9/2026).

The event was attended by residents, congregation members, children, teenagers, students of the TPQ (Quranic study group), and the Ummahat of DKM Baiturrahman JGR. The programme began in the morning with cupping (bekam) services, followed by a colouring competition for children using the Baiturrahman JGR Mosque as the subject.

In the afternoon, the activities featured a performance by the Soleh Band and stories from four young preachers (Dai Cilik). Afterwards, residents took part in dhikr, the Ratib Al-Haddad, and congregational Maghrib prayers.

Moving into the main event, the programme continued with a recitation of the Prophet’s sirah from Dhiya’ul Lami’, the reading of Quranic verses, Maulid poetry, and sholawat. The Ummahat and young women also took part in the sholawat session.

The series of activities did not only involve adult congregation members. Children and teenagers were also given space to participate from the afternoon through to the main event in the evening.

After the Isya prayer, the event continued with remarks from the DKM, neighbourhood representatives, the RW, and BAMUS. The Mahalul Qiyam was then led by P. Imam together with the young men, before a sermon (tausiyah) by Ustadz Ahmad Rizki Baihaqi, also known as Ustadz Pangeran.

In his sermon, Ustadz Pangeran expressed his appreciation for the Maulid commemoration regularly held by residents. “Here in Bojong Sari, we are truly grateful. It is a pride for the Muslim community because every year we always remember the Messenger of Allah through various activities,” said Ustadz Pangeran.

In addition to the sermon, the event also featured a performance by the Soleh Band together with Umi Pica, who presented several religious songs, including ‘Nabi Kekasih Allah’ and ‘Alangkah Indahnya Hidup Ini’. After the main programme concluded, the Soleh Band performed again in an open session before the event closed with prayers and a friendly gathering.

The Maulid commemoration also positioned community activities as part of the wider programme. The involvement of children, teenagers, congregation members, and the Ummahat demonstrated that religious activities in residential neighbourhoods can become a space where residents of all age groups come together.
