Market fire guts shops and kiosks

MATARAM, West Nusa Tenggara: Fire gutted at least 70 shops and kiosks at an old market in Raba Bima, the capital of Bima regency, West Nusa Tenggara yesterday.

There were no reports of casualties, Antara said.

Local police are still investigating the origin of the blaze which was put out only after firefighters from the city administration and Salahuddin Airport battled the blaze for four hours in the early hours of the morning. (09)
