Market Awaits S&P Assessment, Will the Financial Market Storm Soon Pass?
The turmoil in the financial market has not completely subsided. After the Indonesian capital market secured its emerging market status from Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), the bond market is now anxiously awaiting the latest assessment from rating agency S&P Global Ratings. Following S&P’s assessment, the evaluations from the three major global rating agencies will be complete. Previously, both Moody’s and Fitch had already issued their latest assessments. At that time, both maintained an investment-grade rating for government securities or sovereign bonds, with respective categories of Baa2 and BBB.
