Market and Technology Developments, Key Drivers of Indonesian Business in Q1 2026
The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) surveyed business owners’ perceptions of the factors driving their businesses in the first quarter of 2026.
The results showed that 24.1% of respondents considered market developments the primary driving factor, and 22% attributed them to technological advancements.
“Technological developments are a new source of optimism, along with the acceleration of digitalization and efforts to improve business efficiency,” stated the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in its Q1 2026 Business Pulse report.
Other respondents believed their businesses experienced positive growth driven by policy factors (13.6%), regulatory improvements (11.9%), and more conducive business competition (10.6%).
Small numbers of business owners also benefited from access to financing (7%), availability of raw materials (6.5%), and increased access to international markets (4.3%).
This survey involved 210 Kadin members across 27 Indonesian provinces, selected using a random sampling method. The survey was conducted online from March 17 to April 5, 2026.
