Mark Your Calendars: Functional Schedule for Keramasan–Pulau Rimau Toll Road During Eid Period
Jakarta, Kompas.com – The Palembang–Betung toll road, Keramasan–Pulau Rimau segment, will be operationalised on a functional basis during the 2026 Eid holiday transport period.
The toll road section is planned to operate on a limited basis from 13 March 2026 to 29 March 2026 daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Western Indonesia Time.
The functional operation of this section has been prepared by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) to support smooth flow of homebound and return traffic during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period in 1447 H.
The road is exclusively designated for Class I vehicles with a maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.
The operational readiness of the toll road section was directly inspected by Hutama Karya officials alongside South Sumatra Governor Herman Deru on Tuesday 10 March 2026.
This inspection is part of Hutama Karya’s commitment to ensure all operational support aspects of the section to be functionalised have been prepared optimally.
Herman Deru stated that the South Sumatra Provincial Government welcomes the readiness of the toll road’s functional operation.
This is expected to help facilitate public mobility, particularly during the Eid homecoming period.
“The South Sumatra Provincial Government welcomes the readiness of the functional operation of the Palembang–Betung Toll Road as an effort to support smooth public mobility. The presence of this section is expected to provide benefits to the public, particularly in facing the Eid holiday travel flow this year,” said Herman Deru in a statement on Wednesday 11 March 2026.
Meanwhile, Acting Daily Executive Vice President and Secretary of Hutama Karya Hamdani stated that the company continues to finalise the operational readiness of the toll road section to provide optimal benefits to the public during the 2026 Eid holiday period.
“Hutama Karya urges all road users to continue complying with applicable traffic regulations and signs, and to follow official information that will be announced regarding the functional operation of the toll road section,” he concluded.
