Zhejiang, China (ANTARA) — Zhoushan Development Co. Ltd., part of China Mineral Resources Group, joined forces with two fisheries and marine research institutions to hold another marine biodiversity protection event in Ningbo, eastern China’s Zhejiang Province, on Wednesday (28 October).

Working with the East China Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and the Zhejiang Marine Fisheries Research Institute, the stock-enhancement activity was held for the 43rd time.

A total of 160,000 tagged juvenile fish were released, including captive-bred large yellow croaker from Daiqu, as well as gulama and black bekukop fish.

The release was intended to support efforts to protect marine biodiversity and restore the marine ecosystem.
