Marijuana trafficker arrested

Pekanbaru, Riau: Mai bin Jam, a pregnant woman, was arrested
on Wednesday for trafficking marijuana in the provincial capital
of Pekanbaru.

Riau Police spokesman Ad. Sr. Comr. S. Pandiangan said police
had also seized 197 packages of marijuana and cash totaling Rp
531,000.

He said the suspect was arrested when several police officers
posed as buyers in an attempt to prove that she was a trafficker.

According to the police investigation, the suspect has been
involved in trafficking for two months and the marijuana was
supplied from Medan, North Sumatra. --Antara
