Marijuana intercepted

PALEMBANG, South Sumatra: The local police have intercepted a consignment of 36 kg of dried marijuana on its way from Aceh to Jakarta.

Police said they arrested six people, including two students, believed to be part of the marijuana syndicate.

They were arrested during a routine inspection of inter-city buses that pass through South Sumatra. The haul was discovered in the luggage compartment of the bus. (emb)
