Mardiono: PPP North Sumatra Cadres Must Unite and Strengthen Electoral Work
Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP), Muhamad Mardiono, has stressed the importance of cadre solidarity in preparation for upcoming political agendas, particularly ahead of the participant verification stages for the 2027 General Election.
He conveyed this after opening the PPP Branch Conference (Muscab) across North Sumatra Province.
Mardiono emphasised that the time towards the national political agenda is drawing near, urging all cadres to join hands and unite in completing the party’s agendas.
“This is an organisational necessity as well as a mandate of the political party’s constitution that must be implemented. We must unite, complete all party agendas, because we want to rise and become winners,” said Mardiono at Wisma Karina, Serdang Bedagai, North Sumatra, on Sunday, 3 May 2026.
Mardiono reminded that political work cannot be limited to social media but must be realised through actual electoral work in the field.
According to him, strengthening the structure down to the grassroots level is an important step that must be completed immediately.
“In a short time, the structure in North Sumatra must be finalised. After that, we can move together with the people so that PPP is loved again,” said Mardiono.
Mardiono also highlighted the need for PPP cadres to strengthen their support base in the regions. Mardiono hopes that all areas in North Sumatra can boost legislative seat gains in the future.
“In the past, North Sumatra experienced glory. This must be reclaimed with real work and strong electoral strategies,” he concluded.
